Ipodian Music Man

We assume that prehistoric man, at most, had drums and sticks with which to make music - we generally consider them to be quite primitive. But if we look more closely, it would appear that the species known as Ipodian Man, had not only the ability to create paintings, but, one could assume, also the rather advanced ability to capture sounds in a magical rectangular contraption in the figure's right hand. On the other hand, the image could be depicting some kind of strange ear warmer, but the music theory is much more evocative.
